freeCodeCamp
Completely free, including certificates.
A nonprofit that teaches coding completely free, including certificates, with learning paths in Python, data analysis and machine learning.
Overview
freeCodeCamp was started by Quincy Larson in 2014 and is now a 501(c)(3) charity in the US, funded by donations. Its about page states that everything is 100% free, including courses, projects and certificates.
Learners work through dozens of step-by-step projects right in the browser, code editor or mobile app. Each certificate is estimated at about 300 hours of study and requires completing 5 mandatory projects. The data and AI related certificates include Scientific Computing with Python, Data Analysis with Python and Machine Learning with Python.
Beyond the website, the freeCodeCamp YouTube channel posts many long free courses, including ones on machine learning. The website is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Japanese and Korean; there is no Vietnamese yet.

Real-world example
A small print shop receives orders through many channels and has to re-enter data by hand. A self-motivated office employee spends an hour each evening learning Python on freeCodeCamp, and after a few months writes a script that gathers orders from each channel's export file into one shared table. From this foundation, the company can move on to connecting AI tools to automatically classify orders and draft confirmation messages.
Tips & notes
Set a fixed study schedule
Each certificate is about 300 hours, so you need a regular weekly plan to avoid giving up halfway.
Prioritize the Python path
For AI and automation goals, Python is the most useful language to learn first.
