Overview

Gamma is an AI tool for creating presentations, documents and websites. Instead of building each slide by hand, you provide a topic, existing text or a file, and Gamma arranges the content into pages with layout and images.

There are three main ways to start: Generate to have AI write a draft from a topic, Paste to have AI lay out content you paste in, and Import to convert an existing file, slide deck or web page into Gamma format. Paid plans add an Agent mode that lets you bring in multiple sources at once through a chat interface.

For small businesses, Gamma helps sales teams and owners quickly make pitch decks, company profiles, client proposals or a service landing page, then export to PowerPoint, PDF or share by link.

Keep your content as-is when needed

When pasting text, there is an option to keep your original wording instead of letting AI rewrite it.

Import existing files

Import PowerPoint, Word, PDF or a web link, then choose to preserve it as-is or let Gamma reformat it.

Create websites

The Sites section lets you create and publish simple websites from a description or a blank start.

Export in many formats

Export PDF, PNG, PowerPoint, and move to Google Slides by uploading the PPTX file. Word export is not supported.

Agent mode

On Plus, Pro, Ultra and Teams plans, you can drop text, documents, slides, web pages and images into the chat box for Gamma to synthesize.

How to use it

Create an account
Sign up at gamma.app and go to the dashboard.

Choose how to create
Click Create New AI, then choose Generate, Paste in text or Import depending on the content you have.

Enter a topic or content
Describe the goal, audience and desired number of pages, or paste an outline for the AI to follow.

Review the outline and choose a theme
Go through the outline the AI proposes, edit each page title and choose a theme that fits your brand.

Edit the details
Edit text, replace images, and add real figures and contact information on each page.

Share or export
Send a link, or export PDF, PowerPoint or PNG. To use Google Slides, upload the PPTX file to Google Drive.

Real-world example

Illustrative scenario

A small industrial cleaning company in Binh Duong needs to send a proposal to a new factory. The sales rep pastes an outline covering the company introduction, work process, service list and quality commitments into Gamma in Paste mode. After a few minutes there is a neatly laid-out document; they only need to swap in real photos of the team, double-check the information and export a PDF to attach to an email, keeping the link for presenting at the meeting.

Tips & notes

Provide a clear outline
The more specific you are about the goal, audience and main points, the closer the AI draft will be to what you need.
Don't let AI invent figures
Always replace numbers, customer names and legal information with your business's real data.
Note when moving to Google Slides
Fonts may be substituted when uploading PPTX to Google Slides, so check again or use PDF to preserve formatting.
Mind the Free plan badge
On the Free plan, exported PDF and PPTX files carry a Made by Gamma badge. Paid plans do not add the badge to exports during the subscription period.
