Make Templates

4.0/52dm rating

Templates are easy to adjust in the drag-and-drop interface.

Make's library of ready-made scenarios for marketing, CRM, AI, HR and accounting, with step-by-step setup guidance to get running fast.

Overview

Make Templates is a library of ready-made automation scenarios from the Make platform. Templates are grouped into categories such as AI, Marketing, CRM and sales, communication, productivity, HR, accounting and invoicing, commerce and website building, and can be sorted by popularity.

The valuable part is the guided setup mode: when you pick a template, Make shows hints directly on each module so you can fill in the connection and data fields. If you're already experienced, you can create a scenario directly from the template and configure everything yourself.

Once created, the scenario is yours: you can rename it, add or remove modules, remap data fields and set a run schedule. Businesses can also save frequently used scenarios as internal templates for the whole team.

Highlights

01

Free public templates

Make describes public templates as ready-made scenarios anyone can use to create their own.

02

Guided setup

Guided setup mode shows hints on each module, and status icons tell you which modules are correct and which are still missing.

03

Categorized by department

Templates are organized by AI, marketing, CRM, HR, accounting, commerce... so they are easy to find by need.

04

Internal templates for the team

Besides public templates there is a team templates tab to standardize processes within the company.

05

Customizable after creation

A scenario created from a template can have its modules edited, steps added, data remapped and a schedule set like a regular scenario.

What it's for

Saving webhook data to Google Sheets

A business receives data from a form or website and automatically writes it as new rows in a spreadsheet for tracking.

Basic WhatsApp chatbot

The customer care team quickly builds an automatic reply flow for simple questions.

CRM sync

The sales team automatically creates documents or sends notifications when a deal's status changes in the CRM.

HR process

The HR department automatically sends a welcome email and creates tool accounts when a new employee joins.

Standardizing internal processes

A manager saves a well-running scenario as a team template for branches to share.

  4. 4

Real-world example

Illustrative scenario

A training center receives registrations through a website form, but the information is scattered across emails. The manager picks a Make template that receives webhook data and writes it to Google Sheets, using guided setup to connect the center's Google account and choose the right sheet. After testing with a few fake registrations, the manager adds a module that sends a confirmation email to students, saves the scenario and turns on the schedule.

Tips & notes

  • Read the guidance hints during setup

Make notes that the wizard's hints can't be viewed again after leaving the setup step, so take notes if needed.

  • Check modules that send data out

For templates with HTTP or webhooks to unfamiliar services, make sure you understand where customer data goes.

  • Use dedicated connections for automation

Create a separate account or access permission for the scenario instead of using the business owner's personal account.

  • Monitor consumption

Each scenario run uses your Make plan quota, so set a sensible schedule and avoid unnecessary runs.
